Ok everyone please dont be insulted by my complete lack of responses to your posts. I am reading them and would *love* to reply to them but this new version of Mindsay is completely not letting me respond. Only once had it worked after logging in over three times and clicking on "reply" about six times and sadly I really wish I was over exaggerating. So please know I adore your comments and keep posting. :D I know this will take time but obviously this wasnt perfected enough to put out here. Now they can take all the complaints and put it to work because this version RIGHT NOW is pathetic and not working for most Mindsay Users.

Enough complaining. ;) Alright what did I find for us today kids?? Well I found a neat article on how you cannot trust everything in newspapers. We knew this already right? haha. Remember there are just people behind these articles and they like to put their opinions out there as facts many times.

I felt like I had something interesting to write about and Im sure that I did before I started messing around with my Profile again.  Go check it out if you wish.  Forgetfulness thy name is.. ummm...??

I really hate being sick.  Losing my appetite is the worst especially when people make food you adore!  Last night was the case: I had to go home early, because of feeling sick, after watching the kids and visiting and they made up steaks, potatoes and califlower/broccolli in cheese sauce!  My mouth was watering but my stomach was saying no. *cries*  So this morning, I do mean morning like 3am, I woke up craving those things.  I asked Leif what we had for foodage and he told me that J brought down some of the dinner from last night! *sobs in happiness*  Sometimes food CAN make you happy.  Food is such a trigger.  *hugs J&C*  Love you guys!

In other news.  IM SOO EXCITED ABOUT SIMS 2!  It is released tomorrow and I am on pins and needles to get my hands on it.  Im a sim addict. I adore games like those... the kind where you practically play god and it doesnt hurt to have it when its historical!!!    For example: SimCity, Tropico, Black and White, Pharoah, Emperor...

*sad face* Only one problem: no moola and not the right specs on my computer right now.  Leif was going to upgrade my computer but I still need a better videocard for the game. So even if I got the game I couldnt play it.  So all the world of sim players will have their game and enjoy it while I feel left out!!  Makes you feel like the only kid on the block without a bike!

So I guess by the time I get the moola and the upgrade they will be sold out everywhere. Harumph and double harumph. It sucks when you cant get what you want sometimes.  Im burned out and need a release!

I may not be able to update tomorrow but I do hope I can.  I will be gone tomorrow afternoon and all night long.  Hopefully when and if I do update tomorrow I will tell you of the situation. :D

Othernews... I just got a pleasant and exciting email from my friend in Italy.  She will be visiting us in December.  Hopefully we can get alot of people together then and basically have one big international sleepover. haha.  I better start saving now!!!  If this wasnt going to happen I was hoping to go visit CR again. *deep longing sigh*  Anywhich way this is nice.

I just hope that if we move that it doesnt interfere with anyone's visit.

I love warm autumn days where if you sit in the shade you can feel a chill in the air but warm enough to make the smell of dead leaves permeate the air.  At night the cool air and the bright night sky is only enhanced by the crunching of leaves below your feet.  Small breezes of summer still float through the air for their short lived journey.  Soon the pumpkins will swell and engorge to a beautiful bright orange and Halloween decorations will be in many yards in town.

What about you?  Any favorites of autumn?

Do you think I should try to continue to post everyday like I did in the past six months?  Or do you think quality instead of quantity?  I feel bad that I havent posted everyday like I used to.  I think Chilly said it best in that once you miss a day its too easy to miss another day.

But I feel guilty that Im not posting... whom am I feeling guilty to? 

I love pet stores... yes I know they are morbid little places that we dont want to know what is going on in the backgrounds..*deep breath*.. but I love pet stores.  I think thats because its the Attainable zoo!  Each one of those things we oggle over and ooh-ahhh about can be purchased for a price.  From the exotic to the everyday its still amazing for me to enter and not feel like running around and touching every little thing!!

My sympathy meter goes way high when moseying around a store like that.. the bigger the store the better.  I still love to enter places where you can really tell they LOVE the animals just as much as you do.  Where you get the 20 questions and a background check just so they are satisfied with you.  Its reassuring.

Yup yup yup.. I do love pet stores.

I wish Leif would get some balls and stand up to his family and tell them off instead of making me pick up the pieces and defend us.  Im soo tired of being the one who has to deal with this fully being the breaker so that he doesnt turn in to the brainless yesman.  The yesman he always turns into whenever being around them.  Its true people can do some serious psychological damage to their kids.

He couldnt pull himself away from them and yet he cannot stand them.  Where does that leave me?  The bad guy who has to deal with all the bad.  I need to go to court now and defend myself again from their lies.  This is sickening.

Does it seem like everyone, including myself, is in a bad mood today.  Just plain snappy and pissy all around. 

This is where I need to either veg-out or go to bed immediately before words are said that cannot be taken back.   *screams into pillow*

Insomnia  can make you do strange things.   Lying in bed I started obsessing on how I wanted to make omeletes.  I could taste them and the more I was thinking about it the more I wanted to make it.  One catch: no supplies.

I got up and showered hoping that a shower would make me feel better and shake the feeling of needing a good omelete.  No such luck.  So at 3:30am I went and bought supplies for omeletes.

Very tasty!  Urges can be horrible and wonderful.

Wow, the amazing amount of birds outside on the lawn is daunting.  They seem to gorging on anything they can before they fly south for the winter.  As we drove up the road the multitude of these blackbirds were everywhere on everything.   On the branches, the grass, on garbage, on roofs and anything they could possibly sit on.

It was like a scene out of the birds.  Just the sound alone from them was deafening with their warbling.  Very cool stuff.

I normally dont make any political comments but this was too funny to resist.  Gotta LOVE Bizarro.

Today has been pretty good.  I love days where everything seems to fall into place and luck is on your side. 

I needed to go to a fabric shop and get some supplies so that I needed for making costumes.  We found a Jo-Anne Fabrics that was having a moving sale and everything was about 80% off.  Needless to say I spent a hundred but without the sale it would have been over FourHundred.  Whatever I dont use I can always sell for full price on Ebay and still make money.

Just neat things like getting parking spots close when the places were stuffed.  For example pulling into the parking lot just as someone left the front most spot closest to the door.  Not that I mind walking but it was nice!

I  have alot of ideas for this next costume so lets hope it pulls through!! :D 

Another strange thing is alot of my family is gone now.  Mom is in Ohio, My sis and hubby is in Florida, My bro in the Marines is in Okinawa and then my other bro is in Thailand.  Hmmm perhaps I need to take a trip. 

*rubs chin*  My wedding anniversary is coming up.....

No matter who wins this election they arent going to live up to expectations.  No one can do anything but try to clean up a mess or make it worse.

Oh well, Im sick of being forced to deal with those stupid phone solicitations for "vote for Bush".  Three so far today. I havent heard any for saying vote for Kerry yet.  Goddess I hate propaganda!

I think Ive had enough of this blog.  It lost something when changed and I just cannot connect with this anymore. I was going to say goodbye and seem corny but I did want to thank those who replied and were kind to watch my blog.  Sorry to dissapoint.  I may update once in a while and post photos or pics and still check and read others but.. the luster is gone.

Wow I love it when it is unseasonably warm like it was today.  While walking home I was caught in a small thunderstorm.  Cold large drops dropped like bombs but felt soo nice!

I saw people in costumes aparently for parties and it made me long for a costume party to go to... instead I went home and added fur trim to finish the cloak for Savannah.  Tomorrow we are going to the zoo and state street for their Halloween fun.  Aparently there are hay-rides and a costume contest at the library.  I will have pictures of Savannah's costume tomorrow.

Our adventure began in creating the look and Savannah had a blast in the transformation. She was looking forward to showing off her new look. The first stop was at mom's house where she and my sister followed us in a car to Madison.

We knew we needed to make it in time for the costume contest on State Street so we rushed into the parking garage and made a mad dash to the library..... Only to discover it was at a place called the Library Mall. The library mall was located all on the other end of State Street near the campus. With this new information we ran as fast as our legs would take us.

With the contest in sight we could see they were already judging so my mom grabbed Savannah by the hand and zipped! I could hear the woman on the microphone saying "OH here comes another contestant with the pumpkin!!" Mom was wearing a pumpkin shirt and green wig so it was easy to spot her.

We made it in the nick-of-time! Savannah was pulled up on stage and with a minute or less the judges made their decision. Savannah won first place!! She was so confused but her eyes lit up when she realized she won. She won an old fashioned wagon with candy... As an added bonus she got on the evening news. Knowing the time we knew that we had only a limited amount to make it in time for the zoo that was having a halloween bash.

Savannah got loads of compliments and she definetly had her ego filled. The animals were very active and the children were in lines that I couldnt see the end of! Lots of interesting costumes. One of the best I saw was a Sully costume from Monster's Inc and a boy in a shark costume. Pictured below.

Dinner came last. We mustve been a sight to see going into a chinese buffet. The dull murmur of normal chit-chat was gone and a silence filled the building. We just smiled and were taken to our seats. I love dressing up in costume! Tomorrow promises to be a non-stop day.

Halloween was a wonderful day as usual and I did manage to get a few photos.  Some didnt turn out the way I wished; mostly because of a lack of a tripod on me but I am happy with the little ones I did get.

What is it about Halloween that really is a charge to the system and feels completely invigorating.  I dont think I will be on the other end of the door when it comes to Halloween:  By the other end I mean handing out candy.  The best quote I have found is "Nothing hurts more than someone saying ""Hey kids you in the back... arent you a little old to be trick-or-treating?""  Let them trick or treat till they are 90!"

Im always suprised by the lack of trick-or-treaters in Madison but that could be because we usually get there about 8pm.  By then all the little tykes are snug in front of their tvs argueing about who got the best candy.

We took a neighbor kid with us and Im suprised at how much she changes everything into a competition.  When she doesnt get her way she pouts and complains.  Its nuts!!  The worst was her complaining about how much trick or treating we did.  I bet she wont complain tomorrow when she realizes how MUCH candy she really has.

We hit three cities for trick-or-treating and even stopped and said a friendly hello to Nomad, Chilly and AAP.  So all together over six hours of house hopping fun!!  C'mon.. just because you turn a certain age doesnt mean you cant stop having fun.....

I woke up today after a night of coughing and feeling crummy to find that I have a spider bite on my arm. It is all red, swollen with pain and burning. Hopefully it will go back to normal or else I better take myself to a hospital. On top of that Im filled with worry over a friend who is very depressed, our situation and now the election crap. Blech I have a couple pictures to share with you and as an added bonus I added a quick oekaki drawing I did last night here.

 I think we underestimate the people of the past greatly!!  Im pretty sure that they had alot more technology and understanding that was lost through time and repression.

I wouldnt doubt that they had transcontinental trips across the oceans.  There are just too many similarities found throughout the world.

Im feeling very inspired but Im not sure in what venue to put this too.  Should I work on my comic?  Should I work on some other character and drawing?? I havent drawn Gadget from chip n dale's Rescue Rangers in a long while.  Gah! I love being inspired but I hate not knowing where to direct this too.  Music is such an integral part of inspiration.. Just listening to opera alone *like I have been* really pulls and sways you to do something. 

Plus Im kinda excited over hearing a reunion show coming in December of The Nanny.  It almost seems silly and yet Im still wanting to see them again.  Sadly Daniel Davies *aka Niles* probably wont be in it  so thats a big let down.    

I went out and clipped some Juniper branches and put them in a vase so that was a nice pick-me-up and the lovely smell is great!  The worst part was dumping the dead stinky flower water that was in it before... *gags*   Im such a clutz; I was bringing the vase in here and it fell to the floor.  Luckily the vase didnt break like usual but instead I was drenched and toweled the floor.

OK any suggestions what I should draw?? Anyone?  Im up for new things. :P

Mmm... fruit.  OK!  Well I did get a bit done today within the realm of creativity.  For one I worked on my comic and got a bit done on a difficult scene.  Im not completed with it yet but Im working.. Im working. O_o 

BUT! I did complete a nice little oekaki *online live drawing* that I title... Le Red Balloon... OF DEATH!    Created on the wonderful oekaki board at my friends site found HERE.

So, yesterday, i was feeling a little dejected from the results of the election as I stepped on the bus. Following me, was a class of small children around first or second grade. This entire class took up most of the bus, so I sat at the back with a few of the kids. There were two boys who were back there, and one of the boys was taunting the other one "You like boys, you like boys!" The boy who was being taunted pouted and then glared, "My GRAMMA says it's okay to like BOYS."

What? Way to go, Gramma!

And then a bunch of other kids got caught up in the conversation. I thought they were going to be picking on the boy too, but no, they joined his side! "My uncle likes boys!" "My sister likes girls." "My uncle likes boys and his boyfriend brings me COOKIES!" and so on and so on. The teacher just smiled and sat back, letting them handle it.

At that moment, even if just for a moment, i realized that Life really isn't -that- bad.

I hope my gramma would think that it's okay to like girls. :)

Ok, it sucks. Really sucks. But before you go and cash it all in,  let's, in the words of Monty Python, 'always look on the bright side of life!'   There IS some good news from Tuesday's election. Here are 17 reasons not to slit your wrists:

1.  It is against the law for George W. Bush to run for president again.
2.  Bush's victory was the NARROWEST win for a sitting president since Woodrow Wilson in 1916.
3.  The only age group in which the majority voted for Kerry was young adults  (Kerry: 54%, Bush: 44%), proving once again that your parents are always wrong and you should never listen to them.
4.  In spite of Bush's win, the majority of Americans still think the country is headed in the wrong direction (56%), think the war wasn't worth fighting (51%), and don't approve of the job George W. Bush is doing (52%). (Note to foreigners: Don't try to figure this one out. It's an American thing, like Pop Tarts.)
5.  The Republicans will not have a filibuster-proof 60-seat majority in the Senate. If the Democrats do their job, Bush won't be able to pack the Supreme Court with right-wing ideologues. Did I say "if the Democrats do their job?" Um, maybe better to scratch this one.
6.  Michigan voted for Kerry! So did the entire Northeast, the birthplace of our democracy. So did 6 of the 8 Great Lakes States. And the whole West Coast! Plus Hawaii. Ok, that's a start. We've got most of the fresh water, all of Broadway, and Mt. St. Helens. We can dehydrate them or bury them in lava. And no more show tunes!
7.  Once again we are reminded that the buckeye is a nut, and not just any old nut -- a poisonous nut. A great nation was felled by a poisonous nut. May Ohio State pay dearly this Saturday when it faces Michigan.
8.  88% of Bush's support came from white voters. In 50 years, America will no longer have a white majority. Hey, 50 years isn't such a long time! If you're ten years old and reading this, your golden years will be truly golden and you will be well cared for in your old age.
9.  Gays, thanks to the ballot measures passed on Tuesday, cannot get married in 11 new states. Thank God. Just think of all those wedding gifts we won't have to buy now.
10.  Five more African Americans were elected as members of Congress, including the return of Cynthia McKinney of Georgia. It's always good to have more blacks in there fighting for us and doing the job our candidates can't.
11.  The CEO of Coors was defeated for Senate in Colorado. Drink up!
12.  Admit it: We like the Bush twins and we don't want them to go away.
13.  At the state legislative level, Democrats picked up a net of at least 3 chambers in Tuesday's elections. Of the 98 partisan-controlled state legislative chambers (house/assembly and senate), Democrats went into the 2004 elections in control of 44 chambers, Republicans controlled 53 chambers, and 1 chamber was tied. After Tuesday, Democrats now control 47 chambers, Republicans control 49 chambers, 1 chamber is tied and 1 chamber (Montana House) is still undecided.
14.  Bush is now a lame duck president. He will have no greater moment than the one he's having this week. It's all downhill for him from here on out -- and, more significantly, he's just not going to want to do all the hard work that will be expected of him. It'll be like everyone's last month in 12th grade -- you've already made it, so it's party time! Perhaps he'll treat the next four years like a permanent Friday, spending even more time at the ranch or in Kennebunkport. And why shouldn't he? He's already proved his point, avenged his father and kicked our ass.
15.  Should Bush decide to show up to work and take this country down a very dark road, it is also just as likely that either of the following two scenarios will happen: a) Now that he doesn't ever need to pander to the Christian conservatives again to get elected, someone may whisper in his ear that he should spend these last four years building "a legacy" so that history will render a kinder verdict on him and thus he will not push for too aggressive a right-wing agenda; or b) He will become so cocky and arrogant -- and thus, reckless -- that he will commit a blunder of such major proportions that even his own party will have to remove him from office.
16.  There are nearly 300 million Americans -- 200 million of them of voting age. We only lost by three and a half million! That's not a landslide -- it means we're almost there. Imagine losing by 20 million. If you had 58 yards to go before you reached the goal line and then you barreled down 55 of those yards, would you stop on the three yard line, pick up the ball and go home crying -- especially when you get to start the next down on the three yard line? Of course not! Buck up! Have hope! More sports analogies are coming!!!
17.  Finally and most importantly, over 55 million Americans voted for the candidate dubbed "The #1 Liberal in the Senate." That's more than the total number of voters who voted for either Reagan, Bush I, Clinton or Gore. Again, more people voted for Kerry than Reagan. If the media are looking for a trend it should be this -- that so many Americans were, for the first time
     since Kennedy, willing to vote for an out-and-out liberal. The country has always been filled with evangelicals -- that is not news. What IS news is that so many people have shifted toward a Massachusetts liberal. In fact, that's BIG news. Which means, don't expect the mainstream media, the ones who brought you the Iraq War, to ever report the real truth about November 2, 2004. In fact, it's better that they don't. We'll need the element of surprise in 2008.
    

Feeling better? I hope so. As my friend Mort wrote me yesterday, "My Romanian grandfather used to say to me, 'Remember, Morton, this is such a wonderful country -- it doesn't even need a president!'" But it needs us. Rest up, I'll write you again tomorrow.

OK Im getting pretty fed up with police and other people who think they are in charge.  Why you say?  Each time I have reached out or encountered one they are all pricks!!!  The latest encounter is unbelievable!

Each weekend Leif needs to go into work to help get rid of problems.. Those are the breaks of an IT guy.  Blah. But because it’s such a drive to go in we do our weekend shopping then go into his work.  I usually just putz around on the internet or download stuff because of their lightning fast connection.  Now Leif has permission to bring people in just like the other IT people do on weekends.  Just some background info there.

This weekend we went to a movie and brought along my youngest sis, her friend and Savannah.  Leif gets an emergency call after the movie around 10pm or so.  So we head on over to his work since we were already in town.  My sis and her friend decide to try to sleep in the car while I go in with Leif and Savannah.  Savannah and I go onto the internet and start putzing on Nickjr.com and looking at sim2 stuff.  Soon I hear... "Hello???" in a very gruff voice.  I just tell Savannah to be quiet and figured Leif would take care of it.  Leif was in part of the building which is completely sectioned off so you can’t hear anything. 

A short time passes and then I hear someone walking towards the cubicle Im in.  It’s my sis and some security guard.  I smile and say hello and ask if he needed anything.  He actually rolled his eyes and asked for my ID and information and WHY I was there?    So I politely tell him all the info he needs and asked if the alarm went off because of this one faulty door that tends to pop open. *I’ve dealt with this before*   I tell my younger sis where Leif probably is so she leads him away.  I thought that was it.. I was wrong.

Soon Leif rushes up to the cubicle and tells me what this guy was telling him... more accusing him of!  Saying he propped the door open that he was threatening to arrest him and that he was trying to get Leif to admit to stealing!!!   Leif asked me to come outside where the guys were to show I was up to no harm.. while dragging Savannah with. ;)

I come outside and see my sis and her friend shivering outside our car and giving statements!!!  I walk right up to them while Leif was asking questions exactly what they were doing!   Telling them that WE have our right to be there, we have permission, HE will call his superior.  Meanwhile the guy said that we DIDNT have permission that HE would call Leif's superior.. even though Leif offered on the spot to talk to him on the cell.  He said we were trespassing and that NO one should be in OUR car!! And that no one is supposed to be in the building contrary to what Leif's uppers say.

Finally they leave and I ask the girls what happened.  They said that they were trying to sleep when they saw some lights.  They peeked over the seats but went back to lay down figuring it was just someone else Leif worked with.  They then were ordered out of the car and these guys started taking our stuff out of our car!!  They stole my tea of all things!!! 

Leif was livid and as was I.. we knew our rights were violated and that these accusations were LIES!!  So Leif and I wrote a formal complaint to the higher-ups and explained exactly to the T what happened.

We found out what the report had to say and it has made us even more upset.  The report from these Off-duty security guards(also off-duty police officers) were driving by and saw our vehicle.  They said in the report they saw these two people making out in the back!  So they "examined" the situation and found me "breaking" into the company’s computer.    THEY LIED!!  They didn’t put anything in the report that the alarm went off as they stated to us.  THEY LIED about Leif propping the door open.  Apparently these guys had too much time on their hands and a bloody Sequoia up their butts!  We must’ve looked suspicious because of our dark hair gothic look, clothing and get up.   Judgmental.  grr.  They put alot more in the report that was beyond the truth.  Im finding it more upsetting that these guys will write anything.. say anything.. just to get someone in trouble!    They had no right to make my sister and her friend get out of the vehicle.. to search in our property... to take our property.  There is nothing that would justify what they did according to their report.  How can they believe it is correct to lie???  When you are in that position don’t you think that to lie is breaking what you stand for… just to get some result and your big-break at the expense of others.

Its sick I tell you.

Im just happy that Leif talked to his superiors and they were on his side. 

Well lack of posting due to this never ending cold/sickness.  I dont know what it is because it has lasted almost three weeks. grrr.  Oh well.

Last night was a great new moon.  I wanted to have a bonfire but being as it already had frosted and I was too tired to make one I had Leif light a fire in the fireplace.  The result:  Fire alarms going off because of all the smoke in the house.  We wanted to retain some heat we so desperately needed by closing the flue a little more but... it was too much.  Ok boring.

Other news. hmm. The Leonid meteor shower is coming up around the 16-19th so be sure to watch the skies.  Also I read about someone on the trail of Atlantis but found something close to Cyprus.

Last night while tucking Savannah into our bed I noticed that the room felt odd but brushing it off I left to go finish what I was doing.   Soon Savannah comes in to the end room complaining that she keeps seeing things and that something was on the pillow next to her.  I asked her what it was and she said it looked like "dead...a dead person...".   I asked her to describe it because she was visibly shaken and almost in tears.  She explained that she looked out from the pillow and saw it and that the only way a dead person.  So I explained to her that its not a spirit that stays in the house and it probably was passing by when it sensed her.  That it isnt allowed to touch her but it still wanted to get her attention. 

So we marched into the room *which felt much more intense than before* and both of us told the negative spirits to leave and that they arent allowed to be here.  That they are not allowed to do anything that would scare her and that they would let her sleep.   We asked that gaurdians, positive spirits and relatives come in to protect her.   She didnt come out after that and went right to sleep.  I will see about her having to draw what she saw later.

Otherwise nothing new to report besides still being sick. *roles eyes*  I might give in and go to the doctor soon because my throat is not getting better...this mornings pain was aweful.

Ive been experimenting alot lately with details..  So I figured I would share a pic that I *just* completed.  I call it Temptation.. bwahaha

I wanted to complete this yesterday but I ended up not having time to work on my drawing.  Tonight I completed it and I hope that you enjoy it.  I took alot of effort and worked my butt off *picks it up* and still had fun.

We did another investigation of the Parker Pen place this weekend.  We had alot of fun this weekend packing in alot!  Seeing the Spongebob movie, dinner.. supposed to go bowling.. and finally the investigation.  All ALOT of fun.

This time we had more great company/family coming to investigate!!!  You may know them by the names of: Nomad, Chilly & Byzantium.  With our good friends J&J leading the way through the building we hit all the same hotspots and hoped for the best.

At one time I was lagging behind and Byzantium kept coming back for me.  I was filming at the time and I hope I caught what happened on film!!  We were closing a door to leave and the door opened back up at us and slammed shut!  The picture below was directly after the door shut on us... notice the weird glowing squiggly!

Sadly nothing else very noticible happened.  Lots of banging and sounds but it was hard to define what it was coming from because of the pipes and furnace.  I was hoping things that happened like the last time would happen for Chilly & Nomad because they took the effort of coming along even though they were beat.

There were alot of strange feelings through the building.. sometimes it would get heavy or you would feel someone next to you.  Strange smells at times but I am still wondering if Savannah did it. ;)

At the end we just joked around and goofed in the main hall and said our goodnights to C&N.  After that we headed to Perkins and had pie!  What a great way to end an investigation.. hot tea and pie!!

Hopefully on our next investigation we will have more to show and more happen.  Each time is different.. sometimes nothing or sometimes extremes.  I cant wait to develope the film we took; who knows what may show up there.

Im in awe of how fast this month.. or let me restate.. this year has gone.  This year is close to being over and December is coming soo quickly that it would knock your britches off! 

Im not particularly looking forward to Thanksgiving this year because its at my aunts place.  Nothing against my aunt or family but it is cramped there and the social atmosphere I dislike.  I usually end up just sitting *hiding* at the table waiting for the food to be served while people talk about hunting and football.  Lets just say not my favorite subjects in the least! 

I usually end up with nothing to bring home foodwise and am hungry shortly after getting home.  This year I plan on perhaps making my own turkey for later. :D  Gluttony thy name is Thanksgiving.

Personally the background of thanksgiving mythology is up in the air for me so Im not connected with it.  The excuse to make a big turkey and lots of other yummy foods is a good enough holiday for me.  I guess its a good reminder to be thankful but I try to be thankful each day not just when people say you should be.

One thing I remind myself of each day is there is always someone much worse off than you.  Even when you are out of house and food there is always someone else suffering much more.  So I am thankful. :D

It looks like it wants to snow and feels like it wants to snow.   So what do you suppose would be best for a day like this??  I bet you think I was going to say hot cocoa or tea.. *looks at you slyly*  Oh you cheeky monkey!!  No no no.. Im having soup!! tahdah.  Or more precisely Ramen beef style.  I suppose I will have hot tea or cocoa soon enough given how chilly it feels.  Blech... oh the cold.  Hows Hawaii this time of year??  I know there is alot of japanese cuisine there!!

I got up early today and got Savannah super cutsey punk!  She looked awesome and I forgot to take a picture.  Today the kids have a half day and are having their own activities so I decided to dress her up.  Picture this:  Her hair all bunned up chinese style with her purple hair down in back.  A black knee high dress with a velvet dress jacket over.  Stockings are black and purple striped and her almost knee high boots with buckles!!  Too cute!  Ok enough of the cute stuff.. I should take her picture later today.. though she may be numbed because of her dentist appointment.

Im rather proud of myself!! I finished sketching four pages of my comic yesterday!!  I hope I get more done today and hopefully this weekend I can finish them up in photoshop and have them colored!  I will post them as I go. :)  So!  So far soo good.

Oooooooh something else exciting but could be considered everyday.. I picked up the recent Harry Potter movie!!!  *glee*  oh my Snape..  *ahem*  BUT I also rented Watership Down!!  I cannot wait to relive my past through this movie!! The rabbits.. oh the rabbits!!!!!!!!

 Thanksgiving is over officially.. whew.. BUT.. I still have two to go. In that I mean my mom is having her thanksgiving Saturday and today Im cooking my own toikey! ahem.. turkey. Savannah is excited about helping out and as am I. This is her really first help out year because she really knows what she is doing.

OOH Hey, I had ANOTHER talespin dream!! Wonder why because I havent seen nor done anything with Talespin in ages. It must mean I GOTTA draw that scene out in my dream.

Happy Birthday Spud. Wow, my youngest bro is 19!  How awakening is that!!  Out of seven kids and he is our baby bro... still.   Its a day late but Im posting it here.  Yesterday we celebrated and feasted with him and most the family we could.

Its cold out.. only 21F (-6C)cold!  The frost is thick and covered everything.  I had a moment to take a photo of it but sadly I cannot upload it till I get home.  We are supposed to get snow today as well. I guess it cannot be helped... tis the season.

November & December are some of my busiest times of the year and not just because of the holidays.  Its because thats where almost all the birthdays are located in our family.  Though.. Nomad's is Jan 6th so mark your calendar! ;) 

I love snow.. I adore it.. its gorgeous.. but I hate the cold!!  One of my most favorite things to do is sit by a window and watch the snow fall.  Take a walk while its snowing and Im all bundly warm.  As long as Im warm Im happy.  So drink your hot cocoa and get your mittens on... winter is upon us.

Last night it snowed.  The odd thing (or not so odd considering) was we drove to Janesville last night only to discover that the ground was already starting to become white!  Mom called home and asked if it was snowing there as well and yes it was.  The snow was coming down fast!  It was so beautiful to see the snow streaming in the light of the streetlamps.    When we got home we discovered that there was no snow on the ground... in fact the only visible snow was on our car!

I have completed so many sketches but I’m not home long enough to scan them in and color them.  I really wish I had the time because I’m anxious to get going on that.  If I continue to draw like this I might never have time to complete them all... but I will manage some how! *gleaming smile*

Nope not another food topic!  I've gotten in the habit of watching Montel Williams talk show every wednesday.  Why, you may ask.  On Wednesday they have Sylvia Brown and I enjoy watching their features of people coming in with problems and her helping them.  I believe she is a gifted psychic but is very harsh and condesending.   She is incredibly biasedi and she doesnt hide it one bit.

I think to be a medium you shouldnt shoot down peoples believe because they dont believe what you do.  Because love and kindness takes all forms.  She is famous because she is gifted with foresite but she has alot of faults (I believe) that would need improving.  That can ring true with all of us, well minus foresite sometimes, but we can always find something to improve in ourselves.  It can be patience... do you have a short temper?  It can be kindness... how harsh were your words to someone you dont know?  It can be love... what have you done to show someone you love them today??   I think if we work on ourselves we will find we will deepen what we have all around us. 

I find it sad when people brag about being a B*tch or something else that isnt complimentary.. because they are losing out on alot more than just friends.   We put up walls for our protection but those walls tend to do more damage and make you more vulnerable instead.   Showing your weakness is a form of strength when you can identify it.

This is the worst lemon poppy-seed muffin ever!!!!!  Its greasy, heavy, just too sweet and lardy tasting.  I regret any of it that I ate... my poor tummy.

I was thinking about doing that trendy quiz Nomad got going buuuuuut I dont wanna sheep it.  Baa.  So I thought maybe I can make my own quiz up... but my mind isnt that imaginative at the time.. "stoopid muffin!" *mispelled on purpose* hehe 

WHAT?  I have 54 messages just overnight from DeviantArt... *eye sproingy-effect*   I best get busy.  Ok as a reward for reading this overly boring post I will put up an oekaki I did recently.  ENJOY!!

I tend to sit in darker rooms... if a room is lit up with more than one light source I tend to turn them off.  Im here watching the kid again and I turned off all the lights in the livingroom while he goes and plays in his room.  He doesnt realize I can actually see him through a reflection on the cupboards glass.. so no getting away with being naughty. ;)

So whats the point of this?  Well sitting here I turned and just stared off in thought not really looking at anything.  Thats when I saw something walk out of the bedroom next to me in the livingroom.  I focus my eyes when I realized movement and there was nothing there.  I clearly saw something walk out thats true enough.  I go back to reading what I was reading on the internet and I start hearing something... you know sounds that come into focus after hearing them a bit.  It was like a background noise until I tried to figure what it was.  It sounded like someone trying to move the tv back and forth.  It hasnt happened since I investigated it. 

I guess the things here are wanting attention again. :P  Bwah!!  I turn around just about to send this to put on the journal and sure enough something went into the wall when I looked.  Hmm.. they sure are nosy things.

Im soo happy I got to sleep in!  Granted I was awake most the time but still I got to lay there in bed listening to the rain!!! 

I had a bizarre dream.  I dreamt that an evil guy got ahold of a statue that could grant wishes.  The whole town was going to run him out because of his wishes.  Most of them greedy.  For some reason I was out of place in a totally different culture.   I was given a kimono to put on and I didnt know how to wear it or put it on so some ladies helped me out.  At that point the evil guy got into a car and started to get away because he knew what would have happened to him if he stayed.  Aparently this also upset the spirits in the area too because when he drove by a cemetary angry spirits came at him and attacked.  The towns people help fend it off though they were still angry at the man... pretty much that is where the dream ends and it morphed into another dream as dreams tend to do.  The only thing notable in that dream was I took deflated balloons out of a toddlers mouth in front of the mother.

Dreams are interesting and bizzare.  Gotta love em.

Not a good day for me nor Leif.  Aparently Leif got a very rude email at work from someone and its been upsetting him all day.  I have to say Leif gives his all in his work.. probably more than he should.  He is "on call" all the time and it interrupts our personal time.  In fact almost all his thoughts are about problems at work... and this is how they treat him.  If only he could just quit or anything as a better option but at the current time he cant.  Trying to get a loan for a home really puts a damper on alot of life options at the time.

*deep breath*  Gah.. I took off today.  I needed personal time because I was getting too frustrated.  And Im not even getting paid for the job I do.  I  can only imagine his stress.

On a lighter note:  I keep thinking of things to post during the day on here and by the time I get to the computer I blank out.   Its strange how my day consists of "Hey, that would sound good on my blog".. or "That will make my blog more interesting and involving".. only to sit and have each thought gone and me grasping for a glimps of the memory.

The title has nothing to do with the post because it’s just the song Im listening to.  I had a battle with an obstinate rose bush today. I just got in from working outside an hour in the rain... in December... in Wisconsin.  I love it!!  I’ve been digging up all my flowers and plants and moving them into the shed in little pots.   I have to take advantage of this nice weather before it snows or freezes or else there is no way Im getting my plants!!  So why am I doing this muddy job?  Im taking my favorite plants with me of course when I move. :)  I put them in and I take them out.

See the land we live on isn’t ours but the place we live in is.  I put the plants and trees in and I want to take them with me.  You see the people who own the land cant stand anything about me or mine.  They can’t stand my trees I put in, my plants and me in general.  So why do I deal with it?  Sadly its Leif's family! YUCK.  So at least I know when we move it’s the very LAST we will ever have to deal with them. YIPPEE!

Im not going to let them have my plants that I love dearly only to have them kill them or cut down my trees.  I can’t stand bitter, angry, jealous hypocritical people.

I was taking some portraits of Byzantium last night and did a little BIO image for her DeviantArt account. Today I lucked out and spotted this guy out on the bush and decided to use the last of my battery juice in my camera on him.

THIS is the meteor shower to see.   The Gemenid Meteor Shower.   Tonight around Midnight there is going to be one of the brightest and best spectacle in the night sky.   

"The Geminid meteors are usually the most satisfying of all the annual showers, even surpassing the famous Perseids of August. Studies of past displays show that this shower has a reputation for being rich both in slow, bright, graceful meteors and fireballs as well as faint meteors, with relatively fewer objects of medium brightness." 

"The Geminids perform excellently in any year, but British meteor astronomer Alastair McBeath has expects a "superb year" in 2004. Last year's display was seriously compromised by bright moonlight, when a bright gibbous Moon came up over the horizon during the late evening hours and washed-out many of the fainter Geminid streaks. "

So be sure to go watch the skies tonight and keep warm!!!!!  Here is a link with alot of info about the shower.

Thats what yesterday was all about... the simple pleasures in life!   Its amazing how much you apreciate the little things on days like these.  Since it started getting colder we didnt have heat in our home and then when we started using little space heaters our power was lost to part of the house!  So wearing three layers and my jacket in the house was the norm..... until.   Leif called and found out that under warrantee those things are covered!  Yesterday we got heat back and lights!!!

I was actually jumping around going in a sing song voice: "Were going to have he-eaaatttt".  After wards to feel the heat coming from the vent it was amazing!!  My bedroom wasnt frigid; we didnt have to use four blankets/sleepingbags!!  Oh bliss.

To finish off our night Leif and I went outside to watch the meteor shower.  It was soo cold out!!!  I brought myself a blanket and then we hopped into the car and turned on the heat.  We were out there for an hour or so.  Our OOOH!! pointing out each falling star we saw.  It was gorgeous and soo much fun!!!  At one point the most brilliant green and white falling star trailed across the sky and knocked my breath away. 

At that moment I was contented and happy.  The only thing I forgot was to make a hot cup of tea or cocoa!

Im so antzy!!  Im slightly angry!  Ive been working my butt off all week cleaning and fretting.  You see, on saturday my dear friend from Italy of many many years is coming to visit for the first time.  Im filled with self-doubt, shame and overall frustration.   Its not because of her at all.. its all because of me. Im ashamed of my trailer that is a little dump because its falling apart and nothing goes right.  Ive been cleaning my butt off trying to make it look presentable.  You might think why do I need to clean so much?  Not being home long enough to do anything these past six months or so really puts a damper on cleaning. :P  

So my frustration is hitting its high point.  Im afraid that I wont be able to take her to do anything fun because of not having funds.  Our christmas is pretty much nil and I wanted to show her a great christmas.  I love this person and I want to make sure she is happy and not bored.   Its funny in a way that Nomad had the same thoughts as I did.. If Im moving why put up decorations??  Im also worried that I cant get anyone any gifts this year!

I know these things are all in my head but they seem so grand when I think of them over and over.  Im sure once she gets here it will be fine but all those things are daunting. :P 

OK venting over... sorry to take up your time with that. Just had to get it out instead of letting it eat me up inside.  We truly are our worst enemy.  I know I will have fun with her!!!

She missed her flight!  Sooo.. Tomorrow we will go pick her up at the airport.  This gives me a little more time to do some finishing and actually get to my hair! Im sad that I wont see her today but happy at the same time that I can make things more presentable and also get her a christmas stocking that Im going to personalize!!

BTW.. Happy birthday BustiBi75!  Hope you have a great bday and cant wait to go bowling with you tomorrow. :D

*hugs everyone tight* Thankyou soo much for the birthday wishes!!  Thanks Nomad as well on top of that!  Things have been busy and we are have a wonderful time with our dear friend who is visiting. 

Tonight for my bday we went out to the Japanese resteraunt in Madison called The Ginza of Tokyo.  We had a tea room reserved and had a large and wonderful meal.   Soon after a small bit Nomad and Chilly met up with us.   This was alot of fun!   Leif bought me a plushy Squidward!!  Too cute!

After we went to mom's and had an icecream cake and talked!  I have to say this was very fun and enjoyable!! :D 

Tomorrow we may go see A series of Unfortunate Events.  It also sounds like we will do our xmas shopping on Thurs... yeah yeah.. I know.. late.. :P

Hey everyone.  Tonight we went and saw Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events.   The outfits in this movie look like outfits I would create!!  Especially Violet's.  Great movie indeed!! I just need to finish reading the books.

In the lobby there was one of those tiny photobooths so I decided to take advantage of it and get our pictures taken!  Im the one with the kitty ears. ;)

It has been sooo cold out but I have an excuse to wear my favorite scarf.  Its soo long and black and white and I probably could wrap myself up like a mummy with it. 

I finally got two buddies for my lone goldfish in the kitchen.  One black moore and a fancy goldfish.  I will take some piccies later.

Tomorrow is meant for shopping.. so far this week it hasnt happened and I guess tomorrow is the final day!!  Im such a procrastinator.  

Actually so far we havent had the time to shop considering we had to do what was necessary first.  *rolls eyes*  We did finally go grocery shopping tonight so no more digging in the cupboard fruitlessly.

I have no idea what to do tomorrow!!  Ok I lied.. we know what we are doing.. but no idea what to get.

She woke up early the morning before Christmas and came the to conclusion that today was a day for action.  Many thoughts whirled in her head; what to get, where to go and more importantly how much to spend!

After a non-eventful dressing and getting ready the long raven haired woman did her morning rounds and started feeding the many animals in her zoo.  She finally went to the kitchen to feed her newly aquired goldfish only to discover one was missing!!  The small shibunkin that was orange and black was no where to be found until she noticed something odd....  The filter was not running properly and the plastic protective netting on the suction hose was on the bottom of the gravely floor.  Her deduction lead her to find the grim discovery... The story of Finding Nemo really couldnt have happened in a more macabre way.

Lifting the suction hose out of the filter; water and poor fishy corpse fell into the filter behind the tank.  Sadness and shock filled the blogger's heart and she called to those around for solace.  Poor, poor fishy without a name...  A 21 flush salute was in order but she couldnt attend because her heart was in sorrow.

A quick reminder from her spouce about time and christmas eve quickly turned the small house asunder.    Half an hour later they were finally prepared to go and concur the Xmas shopping world called Madison.

The half hour drive was filled with the sound only of cars passing by and the chilly wind howling through the sides of the car door.  Soon we came upon the city limits of Madison.  The multitude of vehichles were daunting as we pulled into the parking lot of the mall.

Taking a deep breath and looking at the time we only had an hour and a half to go before shops would close for family time and merriment.  The battle was fierce and many times she almost fell from bumping into others.  Like chariots in the great race the carts clanged and people looked for any opportunity to find the holy grail of gifts.  The finish line is always the longest stretch... and so were the lines for the registers.  Yes my friends.. we made it out alive and with only a small bruise on my hand from who-knows-where as my battle scar. 

We achieved our shopping goal and were very pleased with our aquirments.  My hopes are high for positive results in the giving tradition tomorrow.

Home at last, our next step was to quickly wrap and disguise each gift.  Choosing our wrapping paper carefully we matched each person's with the proper mood.  My happiness from the smell of paper and tape was almost euphoric!

The woman made an odd note about the evening before saying her goodnights to her other fellow bloggers:  Why do cats enjoy sitting on anything you decide to work with?  Paper and gameboards shall not be safe with any feline that craves attention. 

A myster that we shall leave you with tonight to ponder and sleep soundly knowing tomorrow more insanity insues.

Because memories are presents in their own form... please feel free to share your favorite holiday memory! :D  I have a few that I enjoyed.. One year my family did Hannukah and we had a present each night and played classic games for the holiday.  Another year was waking to find presents piled under the tree when we werent expecting anything at all.

Xmas was lovely and we had alot of fun.  We had a small white xmas after all but nothing like some places here in the states.

Today just because; I had everyone come on over and we made a late xmas dinner.  Our friend made us a true italian pizza and treats!  I made a turkey with all the "fixins".  Nomad and Chilly just left with their bellies full. :D  Ahh what a great day today as well.  We ended up playing Malarky.

After a busy day its always good to relax the next day less we get ragged.  Thats how today was.  Ive been feeling lethargic all day long!!!   Sipping tea and taking my time in doing every task.  I didnt even get to brushing my hair till it started getting caught on everything  I was doing. 

Perhaps its the turkey I ate or perhaps Im just being lazy.  Both really dont matter.. its all a matter that I CAN do it today! :D

Sorry Im soo delayed in writing on here.. Trust me, I do plan on writing but these past couple of days have been busy!!  I really hope that I have something soon. :D  Friday we are driving to Champaign, IL to pick up a friend and possibly go to Chicago and then after that.. *takes breath* we will be going to a New Years shindig.  BTW.. Nomad/Chilly you are invited to DarkBlueRose's NYE party as well. :D  Let me know if you can come. 

We wrote down a list of things to do before my friends head back and I hope we have time to do it all. 

A multitude of bizarre dreams last night for example: having sex with a teacher and trying to hide the relationship in school then in the other dream my teeth falling out and me being devastated by it.  I had a few more but they are boring.

The other thing was I was thinking of when I was shopping.  There was a wall full of different toilet paper and each one had some sorta cutsey image on the front.  Will a bear, puppy or baby change your decision to buy toilet paper??? Why would a bear, puppy, baby or anything like that represent toilet paper???   Is it gentle enough for a babies bottom?? Or perhaps its cuddly soft like a bear which could turn viscious???  Why a puppy?? Puppies arent known for being neat and clean when it comes to that department.    Remember these are random thoughts of the day....

New layout for January everyone.  This is my second Gorey design.  I will have pictures later today.. whenever I get up and get going.  I took alot of pictures when we went to pick up my friend in Champaign and made a small detour at Manteno on the way!! :D  Im soo tired no sleep for two days.......

After going throught the hallways we drove over to what was nicknamed "the Seventies Porn Buidling".

At first we werent sure if it was the same building because the difference of night and day view.

We stopped and visited the room 113 and I re-examined to see if there was ANY way for anyone to get in there.  Nope.. not one way at all.

The colors in the buidling were very bright still. The canary yellow paint splitting and cracking from weather and age.

Lots of interesting things to look at.

Outside the crows were really making noises so I decided to see what was going on. I guess they liked us being there.

Interesting things left over. The story on the page was called Case of the Dead Cadet.

We then headed to the Dix building. The basement was soo cold that our breath was highly visible. Leif waited in the car and one of my friends left because she got too cold. Meanwhile I decided to quickly run through the building and revisit the hot spots.

The spot where the light hit the wall was exactly where I sat at one point on the previous visit. B&W was more effective.

More pages from the other building.   It sure payed off making a quick detour!

Today was interesting!  We got a new member to our family.  Say hello and welcome Cinder.

We went and visited our friend Maggie and she adopted quite a few rabbits. Two were litter mates but one was attacking the other. So they were going to take it to the humane society.

Strange enough I have been looking for a rabbit since summertime to keep Sumomo company. The type of rabbit I envisioned for her was a minilop yet I couldnt find one. Now isnt that strange... Here we got a minilop just the day before they were going to take her to the HS.

IN other news: We have discovered that Sumomo was inproperly sexed. She is a HE. So to the vet we go tomorrow so the He becomes and IT. "Oh look mommy, their hugging."
